Joseph Casapinta returns in his 11th solo exhibition entitled A Watercolour Story, on display at San Anton Palace in Attard.
The exhibition narrates the artist’s love story with the medium of art and watercolour, as well as with the picturesque landscapes Malta is renowned for.
Maltese visitors will relish in identifying themselves in each painting, as memories and colours come together in a wonderful artistic experience. Foreign visitors will delight in seeing the aspects they love most about Malta and Gozo depicted in the gentle hues of the Mediterranean landscape. Casapinta’s distinguished style is easily recognisable in the soft strokes of his brush. He produces some of his most noteworthy pieces when drawing en plein air, in true impressionist style.
His skill with capturing the swiftly changing light or the shadows racing across a field emerges clearly through his work.
■ The exhibition is running at the presidential palace of San Anton in Attard until March 10. It is open daily from 9am to 5pm. All proceeds from the exhibition will go to the Malta Community Chest Fund.
