Ten men were arraigned in court last year, accused of rape.

Four were Maltese and six foreigners, Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Abela told parliament in reply to a question.

One of the foreigners was acquitted. All other cases are awaiting judgement.

Answering another question by Labour MP Anthony Agius Decelis, Mr Abela said 203 persons were arraigned on drink-driving charges.
