Juventus bossed their way towards the Coppa Italia final this evening as they overcame a first-half deficit to beat Napoli 3-1 in this semi-final first leg match.

Napoli took the lead on 36 minutes with Jose Callejon putting the finishing touch on some slick one-touch passing by his teammates.

Juventus almost drew level minutes later, but Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina first denied Mario Mandzukic and then Stefan Lichtsteiner on the follow-up.

But just one minute into the second half, a clumsy challenge by Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly gifted the current Coppa Italia holders an opportunity to tie the score, with the referee pointing to the spot despite howls of protest from Napoli players.

Paolo Dybala made no mistake and from then on Juventus began to crank up the pressure.

Massimiliano Allegri's decision to bring on Juan Cuadrado at the break proved decisive, with the Colombian key to both of Juventus' subsequent goals.

On 64 minutes the Colombian winger's crossed was inadvertently headed into the path of Gonzalo Higuain by the hapless Koulibaly, and the Argentine striker made no mistake from an acute angle.

A goal down and with the clock ticking, Napoli committed men forward in search of an equaliser. It took Juventus just five minutes to take advantage of the space behind Napoli's back line, with Reina bringing Cuadrado down in the box at the end of a quick counter.

Dybala sent the goalkeeper the wrong way and gave Juventus a two-goal cushion ahead of the semi-final's second leg.

The return leg will be played at Napoli's San Paolo stadium next month.
