Archbishop Charles Scicluna will be celebrating Mass tomorrow to mark the start of Lent.

Mass, to celebrated at St John's co-Cathedral at 6.30pm, will include the blessing of ashes.

In a message, the Curia urged Catholics to read the Bible, take part in the sacraments, and attend spiritual exercises.

It reminded its followers that they have a duty to make sacrifices during Lent, the 40 days before Easter.
