I refer to the interview with the Prime Minister of Turkey, Binali Yildirim, (The Sunday Times of Malta, February 19).

I would like to make the following clarifications:

Fethullah Gulen is definitely not a businessman. He is regarded by the Turkish government and people as a terrorist mastermind behind the coup attempt of July 15, 2017.

After the heinous coup attempt, there have been around 45,000 arrests of people with links to the Gulenist Terror Organisation (FETO). This figure was made public at a recent press conference by the Turkish Interior Ministry.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk never served as Prime Minister as mentioned by the newspaper. Atatürk was the founder of the Republic of Turkey and its first President.
