Hibernians and Hamrun Spartans played out a six-goal thriller which saw the Paolites held to a 3-3 draw at the National Stadium.
Hibs were off to a flyer and Jurgen Degabriele put them ahead after three minutes.
But the Spartans came back strongly and after Brandon Paiber levelled the scores from the penalty spot on nine minutes, Leandro Motta headed them in front on 19 minutes.
Hibs took just three minutes to restore parity with a Gilmar inswinger from a free-kick.
The Paolites finally took the lead on 50 minutes, when from a free-kick, Lima fed Degabriele who beat Kambala on the second attempt.
But the Spartans had the final say, as on 70 minutes Brandon Paiber fed Massimiliano Giusti who turned past his marker to slot the ball past Andrew Hogg.
The result left Hibs second in the standings on 47 points, one behind leaders Balzan and three clear of third-placed Valletta.
Hamrun remained eighth on 27 points.
Hibs striker Jurgen Degabriele was voted the BOV Player of the match.
