Registration for participation in Darba Waħda (Once Upon a Time), a Valletta 2018 project bringing children and the elderly together to participate in a number of a fun activities, is now open.

Throughout the sessions, participants learn from each other, exercise their creativity, develop new skills, experience self-development and have fun in a safe, creative environment. Activities can include storytelling, drama, art and games. The project helps promote a sense of community and well-being.

The free sessions are led by applied drama practitioner Anna Formosa and will be running from the beginning of March until mid-May. Registration is currently open for adults over 60 hailing from the following localities: Attard, Balzan, Gudja, Iklin, Lija, Luqa, Qormi and Xagħra. Those interested in participating may register their interest at their respective local council.

Localities will be grouped together and sessions will be held in spaces located in the area. Gozo sessions for the locality of Xagħra will take place at the Gozo College, Xagħra primary school on Wednesdays from March 1. Those for Luqa, Qormi and Gudja will be taking place at St Ignatius College, Luqa primary school on Thursdays, starting March 2. Sessions for Attard, Lija, Balzan and Iklin will take place at St Nicholas College, Attard primary school on Tuesdays as from March 7.
