Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Of course, not. So how can I believe that the Nationalist Party has turned green when, while coming out against Żonqor Point it was in favour of a racetrack that will be built in ODZ and takes 50 times more virgin land than the American University of Malta will take at Żonqor?

Words are cheap and actions speak louder than words.

I also expect that the Archbishop and the Church’s Environment Commission speak out against this infamous racetrack, which, I hope, will never be.

How can I believe all this blabber about the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit investigating accounts in Panama when the same unit did not investigate how certain people from the previous administration had millions of euros deposited and were uncovered in other leaks? It does not make sense that this unit randomly picks people and audits their income when suspect people are popping here and there on all sides. The unit should begin with these suspect incomes.

Money is like energy, it must come from somewhere. That this administration gave an amnesty instead of investigating where the money came from points to a collusion of parties across the political spectrum.

So while supporting the talk against corruption and in favour of honesty, I would like to see the strengthening of checks and balances in Malta: independent authorities and planning laws that leave no loopholes.
