The annual exhibition by members of the Community of Malta Artists this year chose to highlight the theme of carnival and is being held in the restored Citadel in Victoria, Gozo.

Given the theme, vibrant colour, fancy dress and carnival masks are abound. The exhibition also reflects the place, both geographic and historic, with scenes of the Citadel and views from it and of Gozo.

In all, 23 artists present over 100 pieces. All participants, including some  international artists, are residents of the Maltese islands. Visitors can see works in a variety of media: sculptures in wood, stone and metal, photography and pyrography, and paintings displaying varied styles. Artists include Henry Alamango, Anna Verbenetts, Mario Agius, Galina Troizky, Jeni Caruana and Gagik Manoukian.

■ The exhibition is open daily from 9am to 3pm until February 28. For more information, look up the Community of Malta Artists on Facebook.
