SERGE. On February 2, LILIAN, née Borg Cardona, aged 90. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Joseph and his wife Sandra, her daughter Ingrid and her fiancé Albert Fenech, her grandchildren Mark, David and Louisa, her sisters Doris Micallef Trigona, Marie and her husband Peter Holwill, and Joan and her husband Kees Dejong, her sister-in-law Maria Borg Cardona, nephews and nieces, her carer John, and other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, however donations to the Salesians of Don Bosco, Sliema, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
VELLA. On February 3, JOSEPHINE of Paola, residing in Tarxien, widow of Joseph, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss, her son Dr Mario Pio, her sister Frances, her nephew and nieces, all other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Saturday, February 4 at 2pm for the Augustinians’ church, Tarxien, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, and the Augustinian Missions Secretariat will be greatly appreciated.
