A 45-year-old Gozitan accused of slightly injuring a woman and damaging a car last Wednesday was remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to charges made against him today.

The Qala man also faced charges of recidivism.

The court, presided by magistrate Paul Coppini, denied the man's request for bail.

Inspector Bernard Charles Spiteri prosecuted.
