US President-elect Donald Trump was unveiled in London today in waxwork form.

Wax museum Madame Tussauds revealed their new figure of America's president-elect, who will be inaugurated on Friday.

"Donald Trump is going to go down in history as one of the most talked about politicians based on the past 12 months and his political campaign. And I think, whether you support Trump or whether you don't support Trump it is going to be irresistible for our guests that when they are here in the attraction to step up beside him and grab a selfie," said Madame Tussauds spokesman Alex Cameron.

The London figure is one four being unveiled, the others are in Washington DC, New York and Orlando.

Earlier this week the unveiling of a Trump wax figure at a museum in Madrid, Spain, a topless activist from the group FEMEN, grabbed the model in between the legs.

Madame Tussauds in London will be keeping a keen eye on how the public interacts with their new wax figure, but say they will not be putting on any extra security.

It took a team of specialist artists at the museum five months to make their new Trump figures, each one costing 150,000 pounds.

Principal sculptor, David Gardner, said Trump's straw-like hair, which has fascinated the world, was the hardest to replicate. After studying many photos, Gardner said the president-elect's style is more of a long swoop than a comb-over.

"I kind of believe he has almost like a bob, because it's kind of long on top and then he kind of swoops it over, but, yeah, hopefully we've captured it," he said.

The London figure is standing in a pugnacious pose, with hands hooked in his navy suit trouser pockets.

Sculptors chose the pose from an official photo Trump released during the campaign.

The clothes, the stance, the hair and the pouting mouth all add up to bringing the fake-Trump to life, said Gardner.

"I think just his whole character and just capturing the pout that he has and the texturing of the face and everything, and yeah, the hair as well. It all adds up to this final figure."
