AQUILINA – NIKOL, ex-president of St Mary Musical Society, Qrendi, and ex-mayor of Qrendi, passed away on December 21 at the venerable age of 81, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Tessie, his children Joseph and his wife Lilian, Stanley, Marlene and her husband Enzo, Claudia and her husband John, his beloved grandchildren, his brothers, his wife’s brothers and many other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, December 26, at 2pm for Qrendi parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Sweet Jesus, grant him eternal rest.
DEBATTISTA. On December 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, GAETANO, aged 85, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmelin, his daughter Connie, his sister Rozina, widow of Karmenu Lanzon, and brother-in-law Mario and his wife Stella, his nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, December 27, at 2pm for St Cajetan parish church, Ħamrun, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
FENECH. On December 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIA, widow of Anġlu Fenech of Birkirkara, aged 96, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and remembered by her children Jane, widow of Joe Vassallo, Lina, widow of George Vella, Josephine and her husband Elia Cassar, Eileen and her husband Paul Micallef and Mary and her husband Vince Debattista, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow Monday, December 26, at 8am for St Helen Basilica, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavare will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Dar il-Kleru, Birkirkara, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
