Truth, honesty, transparency and accountability are the basis of an effective administration. This is what Simon Busuttil is promising and he is already substantiating his proposals through his measures and proactive policy from the Opposition. He is essentially for the common good and not for a distribution of wealth among the privileged few.

A substantial part of the electorate is deeply disillusioned by injustices, irregularities and corruption affecting their lives. Among them Salvu Mallia, whose vote formed part of the overwhelming majority electing Muscat and who is today focusing on the PN as the key solution to the current problems by contesting the election on the PN ticket.

Recently, Mark Sammut, a former Labour candidate and author of L-Aqwa fl-Ewropa, equally shifted his attentionto the authenticity of the leadership of Busuttil guaranteeingthe decent government this country needs.

As he correctly said, Muscat’s experiment failed and the people’s hopes are in Busuttil who truly has the people’s needs at heart and, therefore his policy includes an economy for the people as opposed to a policy using people for the economy.

With all its imperfections, the PN has always been the shield of the people.

While Muscat speaks of winning back the two seats justifiably belonging to the PN’s supporters since March 2013, we have seen the triumph of truth - the principle synonymous with Eddie Fenech Adami, the statesman who restored democracy, stability, reconciliation and prosperity to this country.

It is today Busuttil’s role - again within the PN – to inspire hope for a just distribution of wealth and to restore the credibility and reputation this nation deserves.
