A brace by Marcelo Brozović helped Internazionale to a 2-0 victory over Genoa at the San Siro this evening.
Inter struggled to achieve fluidity throughout the match but proved to be the more clinical of the two sides.
Inter's Joao Mario was involved in both goals. The first came in the 38th minute, as Brozović shot in following a corner from the Portuguese midfielder. It was Inter's first shot on goal and came against the run of play, with Ivan Juric's Genoa having appeared the better side until that point.
The second came in the 69th, with Inter quick to switch play from defence to attack as Joao Mario surged up the pitch, shrugged off two challenges before laying it off for Croat international Brozović to finish.
Victory took Inter to 8th place on 24 points. Genoa are 13th place with 20 points.
