It would be an infinitely great pleasure if the learned reviewer of the latest edition of Storja would kindly point out where in my article ‘The Siege of Malta, 1565, Revisited’ or indeed anywhere else, have I claimed that the Ottoman siege “was not terribly great to ... Malta”, (Escape, The Sunday Times of Malta, December 4).

I cannot recall to have ever made that assertion, but if I did, it would be more than a pleasure, it would be an honour, to be proved wrong.
