I refer to the article that was titled ‘Pullicino Orlando to keep position of trust’ (December 3).

It has, yet again, been erroneously stated that the Esplora project was delayed by two years. We have informed the Times of Malta, time and time again, that works on the project started in March of 2014 and were completed in October 2016.

How can a project that took two and a half years to complete have a delay of two years? Did anyone seriously imagine the most complex and extensive regeneration project in our country in the past decades would take six months to complete?

It would be appreciated if this is made clear to readers and that this newspaper’s journalists are encouraged to desist in what are clear and regular attempts at misinformation. ‘To err is human, to persist in error diabolical.’
