Omid Djalili is back with his brand new world tour Schmuck for a Night, live this weekend at the InterContinental Arena Conference Centre.
This event follows from Djalili’s hugely successful world tour of Iranalamadingdong which sold out two hilarious shows at Eden Cinemas last year.
Known for his legendary stand-up performances which are intelligent, sometimes provocative and always entertaining, his shows are described as a hugely energetic and captivating comedy masterclass.
Praise for him has been far and wide.
“Right now, the Iranian Djalili is probably one of the most subversive, let alone funniest, comedians around,” wrote The Guardian, with the UK Sunday Times adding: “To carve yourself out a career as the thinking person’s Iranian comedian in this political climate takes a fine brain and a masterful way with the audience. There is no question that Omid Djalili possesses both.”
Djalili’s credits range from Hollywood to television and the West End. He recently starred in Dickensain on BBC1 and Lucky Man on Sky1.
■ The two shows are taking place this Saturday and Sunday at 8.30pm at the InterContinental Arena Conference Centre in St Julian’s. For tickets, visit edencinemas.com.mt. The show is rated 16+.
