MADC returns with its Christmas offering Un-Believe It!, a pantomime loosely based on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and starring Alan Montanaro as Dame Vera Tasty and Antony Edridge as Professor Patrick Pacificus Potter.

The Professor’s name may be a mouthful to pronounce but the dear man is just that – peaceful and patient, as his name suggests.

The inventor has had repeated failures and an empty bank account, but he never gives up. His luck is, however, about to change when Dame Vera Tasty  brings home his two children who have, again, played truant from school.

Vera, the only child of a wealthy businessman, brings him a car – an old piece of junk – and asks him to restore it for her.

The Professor quickly dons his thinking cap and pulls out all the stops – literally. After locking himself away in his garage for weeks, he emerges with a sparkling car that has not only been souped up... but can also fly.  Hilarity and adventure ensue as Vera, the Professor and the children take to the sky with The Safra, as the car was known in its Monte Carlo Races heyday.

■ The pantomime is playing at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre in Ta’ Qali from December 22 to January 8. To book, visit www.madc.com.mt, send an e-mail to bookings@madc.com.mt or an SMS on 7777 6232.
