■ When selling digital content, providers must provide consumers with  specific information on the functionality and interoperability of the product.

■ If the download or streaming of the digital content involves payment, consumers must be properly informed about this.

■ Consumers must be made aware that they will lose their cancellation rights if they stream or download digital content during the cooling off period.

■ The best way to cancel a distance sale is in writing.

■ Consumers are responsible to provide proof that they have cancelled the distance contract within the 14-day cooling-off period.
