The Malta Stock Exchange (MSE) inaugurated an awards dinner presided over by Finance Minister Edward Scicluna with over 120 people within the financial and business sector attending.

Three awards were given on the night. The Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Prof. Edward de Bono in recognition for his pioneering work in the area of lateral thinking, a paradigm geared towards identifying problem-solving solutions.

The Company of the Year Award was presented to Medserv plc in acknowledgment of its stellar financial results in 2015, as well as a positive corporate social responsibility and corporate governance culture.

The MSE Employee of the Year Award was presented to Crocifisso Debono who has been working for the Malta Stock Exchange since 1997 as a messenger driver.

The Malta Stock Exchange chairman Joseph Portelli on behalf of the board congratulated all the award winners and said that the MSE took great pride in having bestowed the awards on such worthy recipients.
