EY has announced the promotion of Shawn Falzon to Assurance Partner and Chris Meilak to Transaction Advisory Services executive director. This year’s new partner class in EY’s Central and Southern European (CSE) region includes a record percentage of partners from the emerging markets, 35 per cent of all new partners. In addition, EY continues to focus on increasing the proportion of female partners, with this year’s promotions coming in at almost 30 per cent.
Ronald Attard, EY CSE Transaction Advisory Services leader and EY Malta country managing partner, said: “I would like to congratulate and warmly welcome Shawn Falzon as a new Assurance partner and Chris Meilak as a new Transaction Advisory Services executive director. EY Malta’s leadership team now consists of five partners and six executive directors.”
Mark Weinberger, EY global chairman and CEO, said: “Today’s promotions recognise the outstanding achievements of our people. Our new partners have been focused on providing services to our clients, leading high-performing teams and contributing to our purpose and ambition. Despite an uncertain economy, we are still investing and these promotions are a tribute to the contributions these new partners have made to EY and our future. I’m proud of all that we’ve achieved together as an organisation over the past year, and I am particularly proud of all our new partners.”
