The Malta Artisan Market organised by The Definitive(ly) Good Guide is all set for the busiest market of the year this weekend taking place on the Valletta Waterfront.

The Christmas edition welcomes over 50 artisans, craftspeople and food stalls in a unique setting where visitors can source their Christmas gifts while enjoying the festive atmosphere. Wares on display include authentic arts and crafts, ceramics, candles, woodworks, hand sewn goods, filigree, jewellery and accessories, knitwear and crochet work, as well as Christmas treats made locally.

A warm glass of mulled wine or homemade soup will be sure to lift the spirits of those attending.

Local entertainers Agni Triom will offer children’s entertainment, face-painting, balloon modelling and juggling. Christmas carols performed by Stagecoach and Mary’s Little Angels, a drum circle by Norman Cristina and other activities for all the family will add to the fun.

The market is taking place in a historical setting at Magazino Hall. Built in 1727 in the harbour area, the building was incorporated within the island’s first powerhouse and used for storage.

■ The market is being held at Magazino Hall on the Valletta Waterfront today and tomorrow from 11am to 6pm. Entrance is free. For more information, visit www.maltaartisanmarkets.com.
