In your Editorial “Drive against antisocial behaviour” (November 26) you chose to dedicate no less than two paragraphs to the behaviour of motorcyclists, emphasising the noise they make.
However, you ignored completely the loutish, even murderous, behaviour of a significant number of car drivers, with their mobile phones clamped to their ears, their complete disregard for other road users (especially bikers) and their sheer lack of discipline and respect for the rules of the road.
Law-breaking bikers should not be condoned but given the manner in which they are ignored by many larger vehicle drivers, the maxim “loud pipes save lives” should not itself be ignored.
