Brian Cini is through to the Last 32 of the IBSF World Championships which are currently being played in Qatar.

Cini had reached the knock-out stages after winning three of his opening four matches to finish second in his group.

Yesterday, the Maltese player was up against Habib Subah, of Bahrain, and managed to come out on top 4-3 in a thrilling match.

This morning, Cini will be up against Jamie Clarke, of Wales, for a place in the Last 16.

In the Masters competition, Jason Peplow finished top of Group G with a perfect record to set up a Last 64 clash against David Judd, of Wales.

Peplow broke little sweat to see off Judd 3-0 and will now face England’s Graham Beardmore in the Last 32.
