Wilshere: Midfielder Jack Wilshere will be offered a new Arsenal contract despite being sent to Bournemouth on loan this season. Wilshere, 24, fell out of favour at Arsenal after managing only 17 games in two seasons blighted by injury. “Of course. Ideally (it will be addressed before next summer). We have to plan around the new year,” boss Arsene Wenger told reporters when asked if Wilshere would be offered a new deal by Arsenal.

No Hart: Trinidad have fired manager Stephen Hart after two consecutive losses in the final stage of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup, the country’s football association said. The Caribbean nation sit joint bottom of the six-team group alongside the United States after losing 2-0 at home to Costa Rica and 3-1 at Honduras. Trinidad’s next qualifying match is at home to Panama in March.

Bilic: Manager Slaven Bilic is not sweating over his future at West Ham following the club’s poor start to the league campaign and is confident he has the full support of the owners. “There is no question – I am happy in my job. I speak to the owners after every game and sometimes in between games if there is something that needs to be talked about,” Bilic said.

Wembley: Tottenham will continue to use Wembley Stadium for their Europa League home ties if they qualify for the competition, manager Mauricio Pochettino said. “We will play the Europa League in Wembley and we need to make it our home,” Pochettino said. “Next season we need to play 19 league matches there. This is a great opportunity to do that.”

Terry: Chelsea captain John Terry faces more than two weeks out injured and will miss today’s clash with Tottenham. The defender, 36 next month, has made one substitute appearance since Chelsea began a six-match winning run in the Premier League, scoring 17 goals without reply. His only start since returning from an ankle injury was in the League Cup loss at West Ham in October.
