A cultural tour of Malta’s old capital is taking place tomorrow, including visits to the various historic chapels normally closed to the public.

The tour will be conducted by expert guide and keen rambler Simon Salafia in association with erudite scholar Mgr Dun Ġwann Azzopardi. It will take in the chapels of St Agatha and St Nicholas as well as the church and monastery of St Peter. A visit to the Mdina Cathedral and the Sala Capitulare will be led by Mgr Aloysius Deguara.

■ The tour is being organised by the Mdina Cathedral Museum in conjunction with the Malta Ramblers Association as part of its campaign to raise awareness of the historical and artistic merits of Mdina. The meeting place for those interested in joining is next to the Mdina Cathedral Museum tomorrow at 2pm.
