I refer to the article ‘New hospital owners still without licence’ (November 22). As stated in replies sent to the Times of Malta, Vitals Global Healthcare and its hospitals are in fact covered by necessary licences as required by law.
Licences covering the current period were issued by the Superintendent of Public Health to Nadine Delicata in her capacity as CEO of Gozo General Hospital and to Stephen Zammit in his capacity as CEO of Rehabilitation Hospital Karin Grech.
Both remain the CEOs of these hospitals and, thus, said licences are still in force and up-to-date and cover the list of services being offered.
The hospital management will apply for new licences once these are up for renewal and these applications will reflect any changes to the list of services being offered. Vitals Global Healthcare’s investment in Malta is threefold.
We are building state-of-the-art hospital facilities, investingin additional human resources and training, and bringing inthe latest equipment and technology to meet modern-day needs. Work on all fronts has commenced and is on track to see that our commitments to the Maltese government and to our patients are met in line with Maltese law and regulation.
