The Malta Community Chest Fund launched the 2016 edition of Tisjir mill-Qalb. It includes a collection of recipes inspired by one of the oldest Maltese cookery books published in 1894 – Ctieb tal Chcina.

The book features the very first recipes written in Maltese and takes a look at the fascinating food culture at the time, with all the ingredients and cookery methods used in 19th-century Malta.

The recipes focus on seasonal products and encourage the use of local produce and traditional dishes.

Tisjir mill-Qalb is on sale from the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation office in Valletta, at San Anton Palace in Attard, from leading bookshops or online at www.mccf.store.
