It was deeply satisfying to witness Hillary Clinton’s defeat at the hands of Donald Trump, more so after reading the subdued coverage of the Times of Malta of this historic event, with this paper trying to demean the great man’s triumph by stating that he rode to victory on the vote of “white non-college educated workers”.

If the Times of Malta is “shocked” at the verdict of the American people, it is only because of the heavy bias of Marxist-leaning papers, like the Times of Malta itself, which tried their damnedest to paint Trump as a sexist dinosaur and to ruin his campaign by dredging up allegedly misogynistic locker-room banter from 15 years ago while ignoring the cavalcade of corruption dogging Clinton’s political career.

The paper refused to prominently report on her receiving millions of dollars from the Saudis, the real kingmakers of Isis; trading in influence with her backers in Wall Street, famously claiming that one ought to have a “public and private position on everything”; defending her husband against totally legit rape allegations by persecuting his accusers with the IRS and sicking her henchmen on them; losing her job during the Watergate scandal for being grossly unethical; selling out American soldiers in Benghazi and letting them die and then lying about it to their families and the rest of America by blaming a video; having her charity (the Clinton Global Initiative) exposed as a money laundering scheme by The New York Times; and, according to the FBI, “lying under oath to Congress” and “putting national security at risk”. David Petraeus was convicted, Chelsea Manning jailed and Edward Snowden exiled for much less.

God bless Trump and may his next four years in office school the world, particularly the effete and cross-dressing EU on nationalism, family-oriented patriarchy and how to properly police its border from foreign, primitive and barbaric cultures.

Editorial note: This newspaper disagrees with what the correspondent says about the  Times of Malta  but it still defends his right and even gives him the space to say it.
