Malta’s national trust is holding its autumn dinner on Friday, preceded by a concert.

The highlight of the evening will be a string performance by the Rotterdam Ensemble, with artistic director Roberto Beltrán-Zavala, Marina Meerson (first violin), Nicolai Bernstein (second violin), Maria Sofia Espiga Figueiredo Fonseca (viola), Wijnand Hulst (cello) and Gjorgji Cincievski (double bass) performing works by Von Biber, Vivaldi and Shostakovich.

■ The event is taking place at the Grand Hall at St John’s Cavalier in Valletta, this Friday, November 11.  Welcome drinks will be served at 7.15pm and the performance will start at 8pm.
