In my letter of October 18, I described a blue ‘AUM’ plaque on the front wall of an office in Tower Road, Sliema and I hazarded a guess that it was an embryo campus of the long-awaited AUM, the American University of Malta.

Presumably in response to that letter, the simple AUM plaque has now been replaced by a similar, but larger, one which reads ‘AUM Assets Management Ltd’. This is most intriguing. Why the ‘U’ in AUM? Could it really be the ‘American University of Malta Assets Management Ltd’?

It would certainly fit the situation.
