A short evening course providing an introduction to marine biology is being offer­ed between November 9 and January 4 by the University’s Department of Biology.

The course covers topics such as general characteristics of the marine environment and the Mediterranean Sea, shore and underwater habitats, marine pollution, fish, cetaceans and turtles, aquaculture and fisheries, and marine conservation.

The lectures will be held on Wednesdays between 6 and 8pm, and three practical sessions will be held on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
