This year marks the 1,050th anniversary of the baptism of Poland. The anniversary is being celebrated in Malta with a series of special events, including a multimedia concert by the Maciej Fortuna Trio – Baptism 966 – Polish Medieval Music for Trumpet and Pipe Organ with Visuals – at St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta, on Thursday at 7.30pm, courtesy of the St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation.

An exhibition Baptism 966 – the Beginning of Poland at the University of Malta, Valletta Campus, St Paul Street, Valletta, will be open to the public bet­ween Friday and November 2 (weekdays only) from 9am to 5pm.
