Shireburn Software has expanded its offices at the SkyParks Business Centre to accommodate the significant growth experienced by the company. Since moving to SkyParks in February 2014, Shireburn and its CA Plus subsidiary have experienced an increase in staff of 33 per cent and this office expansion aims to ensure the best environment for the growing team and further growth opportunities.

“The SkyParks Business Centre is Malta’s most prestigious business address and through the wide range of well-maintained facilities available within the building, provides an excellent working environment for our team,” said managing director John de Giorgio. The Shireburn Group now occupies the whole of the façade of the third floor within the building, having managed to secure space adjoining their current offices and interconnected the two areas.

Maltapost opens South Street branch

Maltapost has opened a new post office at 25, South Street, Valletta.  The services available from this retail outlet include the sale of stamps, registered mail, money orders/postal orders, postage paid envelopes, telecom cards, Tallinja cards and top-ups, One4all Gift Vouchers and the Postapay card. Ideally situated in close proximity to many offices, this post office also offers photocopy and scanning services.

This retail outlet hosts a 24/7 always open parcel pick-up service for SendOn clients through the Easipik Parcel Locker Service. This service is particularly attractive for customers who are not home during the day to receive their SendOn shopping. Clients working in Valletta can now easily divert their SendOn shopping to the Easipik Parcel Station at this Post Office to be able to retrieve their purchases at their convenience.

This post office offers extended opening hours as follows: Monday to Friday from 9am to 1.30pm and from 2 to 4pm while on Saturdays the branch is open between 9am and 1.30pm.

RSM launches ACCA programme

RSM has launched a new programme to support young individuals in Malta wishing to gain the ACCA qualification whilst getting hands-on experience through their studies.

The RSM Industry Experience Programme will support young people to qualify as an ACCA graduate while providing the necessary work exposure to complement theoretical learning with real, every day industry experience.

RSM is the sixth largest network of independent audit, tax and consulting firms, encompassing over 120 countries, 760 offices and more than 38,000 people internationally. The network’s total fee income is $4.64 billion and it has been present in Malta for 11 years.

The ACCA qualification is split into two levels – the Fundamental examinations made up of nine modules and the Professional level consisting of five modules.

In order to start the Fundamental level of the ACCA qualification, candidates must have certain pre-qualifications for eligibility, including a completed Matriculation Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Levels and Ordinary Levels.
