Friendly: Martin O’Neill will send his Ireland side into friendly battle with Euro 2016 quarter-finalists Iceland in March. The FA of Ireland has announced that Heimir Hallgrimsson’s men will head for the Aviva Stadium on March 24, four days after Wales visit Dublin in a World Cup qualifier. Both teams have taken seven points from their opening three games in the new campaign.

Terry: John Terry has recovered from an ankle injury and will be available for Chelsea’s home clash with Manchester United tomorrow, manager Antonio Conte said. The Chelsea skipper, who has not played since early September, was unable to train on Thursday after aggravating the injury but Conte said the 35-year-old would be ready for the clash against Jose Mourinho’s United. “John is in good shape,” Conte said.

Berahino: West Brom boss Tony Pulis has insisted that Saido Berahino needed to be taken out of the side and placed on a person fitness plan. The striker is now doing extra work as well as training with the first team after the club decided he was overweight and unfit to play. Tests found he was eight pounds over his ideal weight and the 23-year-old will not feature at Liverpool today.   Berahino has not scored since February, a 14-game run.

Kranjcar: Rangers will be without playmaker Niko Kranjcar when they face Old Firm rivals Celtic in tomorrow’s League Cup semi-final showdown. The Croatian suffered a serious knee injury in a freak training ground incident earlier this week and could be ruled out for months if the problem is as bad as Gers chiefs fear. Boss Mark Warburton welcomes Jordan Rossiter (calf) back into his squad but has concerns over Danny Wilson (thigh) ahead of the Hampden clash.
