Before earmarking a property to be turned into a prayer room for Muslims, it should be ensured it is in the right place in a locality and with adequate parking facilities. Only then should they apply for a permit.

By praying outside a Buġibba property (above), as they also did at Msida, they won’t gain any sympathy because their praying would simply be a protest in disguise. The property in Buġibba is clearly unsuitable as a prayer room; the verandah could also serve for the wrong purpose.

In the meantime, may they be successful in finding the right property, avoiding the hassle and a repeat of last Sunday’s protest.
