Obituaries
CASSAR. On October 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED, aged 81, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria, his children Emvin and his wife Elsie, Rudolph and his wife Karen, Donald and his wife Mariella, Lavinia and her husband Clive, his grandchildren Thomas, Craig and Ian Karol, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be held tomorrow Monday, October 10, at 4pm at Transfiguration parish church, Lija. Lord grant him eternal rest.
VELLA. On September 29, at Epsom General Hospital, UK, CARMEN, née Azzopardi, aged 73, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, just 11 days after celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary with her beloved husband Joseph. She leaves to mourn her loss her dear children Noel, Charlmaine, Claude and his wife Rachel, her dear grandsons Santiago and Alessandro, her other relatives and many friends in both Malta and the UK. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow, Monday, October 10, at 3.30pm at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary parish church, Mellieħa, followed by interment at Mellieħa parish cemetery. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and other carers for their kindness and compassion. Donations to Puttinu Cares Children’s Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
