The Sacred Heart Minor Seminary, Victoria, reopened its doors for 347 students last Monday. On their first day of school the students and staff attended a general assembly followed by Mass, presided by the Major Seminary’s new rector Fr Richard Farrugia, accompanied by headmaster Fr Emmanuel Saliba, assistant heads Fr Michael Said and Fr Joe Zammit, and other priests who teach at the Minor Seminary. The Mass was animated by a choir formed by teachers and LSAs and student Jamie Buttigieg Vella on the piano. After an address by Fr Saliba, teachers accompanied the students to their respective classes where they were given their timetable and a copy of the school diary.
