A motorcycle ride is being held on Sunday, October 2, to raise funds for the Pink October campaign. The aim of this initiative is to raise money to facilitate treatment and research of breast cancer, as well as to generate awareness about this illness.

The ride will commence at 9am at Golden Bay, with the bikers making their way to the Ta’ Xbiex Marina, opposite the Atlas Head Office, where they are expected to arrive at about 10.30am and remain on display. Bikes from different time periods are expected to take part, including cruiser bikes and vintage bikes. Food and drinks stalls will be set up.

To keep with the Pink October theme, Atlas,  which is sponsoring the event, will be handing out vouchers for reduced cost mammograms at St James Hospital. The insurance company will also be distributing freebies, balloons for children and food and drink vouchers.

Throughout October, pink initiatives will continue with Atlas staff wearing pink T-shirts to remind clients to donate to the cause.
