I am now more convinced than ever that the greatest fear gripping the minds of the unelected Brussels bureaucrats is that Britain, after all, could very well make a big success out of its withdrawal from the European Union. That would open the floodgates for more member states to hold ‘in-out’ referenda.
As more time passes, the fear that had gripped 48 per cent of the British people and businesses will slowly diminish. Optimism that Britain can make it, despite the doom and gloom predictions of Eurocrats all over Europe, will gradually keep increasing.
The new Prime Minister, Theresa May, and her new Cabinet have already lined up a good number of non-EU countries for post-Brexit free-trade agreements. The population of these countries already amounts to about seven times those of the EU, up to now. I wish the British Prime Minister and her government, as well as the British people, success in their endeavour to make the United Kingdom a truly independent and sovereign State once again.
