After a hugely successful launch in 2014, REED’s recruitment team has grown from strength to strength, supporting local and international clients in the search for local talent while also helping businesses identify and secure Maltese and international talent from overseas.

Led by business manager Cordelia Morgan-Cooper, she had this to say about the current market conditions in Malta: “Our first two years in operation have been fantastic and for that we have to thank Malta for being so welcoming to our business and services. Clearly, across the vast majority of industries, there is a talent and skills shortage across the island. Within our core markets, accountancy and finance, technology, iGaming and business support, the real areas of demand are developers as well as part qualified accountants. A big portion of our time is therefore spent working closely with our clients on a face-to-face basis, to really get to grips with their business needs and objectives.”

She added: “As an example, innovation is the core to our business and we were the first recruitment business to launch a job site. We established reed.co.uk in 1995 and this has grown to be Europe’s largest job site. By utilising both our reputation for discretion and quality, we are able to utilise our international network, which in many instances has enabled Malta businesses to hire Maltese nationals who possess international experience. Our clients have told us this is a real advantage that was not previously available on the island before we launched. Likewise, our team is also multinational, including Maltese, British and Czech.”
