The Karl Vella Foundation, which offers free educational and psychological support to children aged five to 17, who have a family member who is ill, is marking the first anniversary of the opening of its centre in Attard tomorrow.
This event is also aimed at raising much-needed funds for the refurbishment of the ground floor rooms which will consist of a kitchen, a drama/music room, a quiet room for homework and a games room for the older children.
A number of activities are lined up, including crafts, magic acts, a storytelling session, gymnastics and face painting and performances by local singers, including Gaia Cauchi and Veronica Rotin.
Families are encouraged to bring along their children and enjoy a fun day before the kids go back to school. Donations can be left in a perspex box near the information desk and companies/entities who make donations on the day will be publicly acknowledged.
• The KVF Centre, found at the President’s Kitchen Garden, St Anthony Street, Attard, will be open tomorrow between 10am and 5pm.
