The air forces of Russia and Syria did not conduct any strikes against the UN aid convoy in the southwestern outskirts of Aleppo, Russian defence ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov has said in a statement.

Konashenkov said if it had been an air attack by anyone, the damage to the vehicles and immediate terrain would have been much different and more extensive. It appeared to have been caused by something other than an air strike.

The truth is the prolongation of the suffering of the Syrian people is primarily caused by Nato and the US government who in fact are engaged in an illegal war against the Syrian government with one single-minded aim dictated by Saudi Arabia, which is ‘regime change’. Complicit in the propaganda campaign with Western governments are the mainstream media.

A vivid example is the way media describes the ‘White Helmets’ who profess to be unarmed and neutral. In truth, they are embedded in areas controlled only by US-supported so-called ‘moderate terrorists’ like Ahrar al Sham and Al Nusra (Al Qaeda). The fact is White Helmets are armed and have been photographed and filmed supporting terrorist extremists that are foreign and not Syrian fighters.

The White Helmets have participated in anti-Syrian army and anti-government propaganda as orchestrated by the West.

This is American state terrorism and neocolonialism under the guise of humanitarianism

Such Western demands like a no-fly zone, had it succeeded, would have quickly created a failed State as we have seen in Libya.

There is ample evidence of the White Helmets Group’s support for Islamic extremist mercenaries. Yet, not so long ago, President George Bush destroyed Iraq and Libya on the pretext of nothing more than their connections to Al Qaeda, which was in fact untrue.

It’s as if the White Helmets have been guided by a Madison Avenue Ad Agency to disguise the fact they are actually an affiliate of Al Qaeda. This is American state terrorism and neocolonialism under the guise of humanitarianism.

White Helmets are working for the same terrorist groups behind the suffering of the Syrian people.

The US State Department, the UK FCO and the United Nations et al create these ‘programmes’ to whitewash their real objectives: to redraw and divide country borders and change the regional map last created 100 years ago by Sykes-Picot.

The Syrian Civil Defence, the official name of the White Helmets, operates almost exclusively in rebel-held areas. How?

Recently Putin said: “The state of affairs there is very serious. The Islamic State controls significant stretches of territory in Iraq and Syria. Terrorists are already publicly stating that they have targets set on Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. Their plans include expanding activities to Europe, Russia, Central and Southeast Asia.”

Putin is correct. The Islamic State also threatens Russia and Central Asia specifically. Even though the Kremlin sees the rise of the Islamic State as the product of destructive American foreign policy and military operations that leave ungovernable holes later filled in by terrorists and transnational criminal groups, the Kremlin is intent on being a part of the solution to these problems.

Putin also blames American foreign policy for the migrant crisis currently engulfing Europe and has called for an international coalition against terrorism and extremism. Putin added that: “This is a crisis which was absolutely expected. We in Russia said several years ago that there would be massive problems if our Western partners conduct what I have always called the ‘wrong’ foreign policy, especially in regions of the Muslim world, the Middle East and throughout Africa, which they continue practically to this day.”

The US and the West have to drastically rethink their policies and the question is would either a President Clinton or a President Trump do so?
