The EU summit on the union’s post-Brexit future is being held in Malta on February 3, European leaders agreed today.

EU council president Donald Tusk said during a meeting with the Prime Minister earlier this month that Malta was the best country to take on this responsibility which pushed forward the new European agenda at a time of reflection.

The meeting will following a similar one in Bratislava last week.

This will be the second European summit in Malta following the Valletta summit in November.
