Museums to waive entry fees for World Tourism Day
A number of museums will be open to the public free-of-charge next Tuesday as part of Heritage Malta's World Tourism Day activities.
Valletta's National Museum of Archaeology, Għar Dalam in Birżebbuġa, the Inquisitor’s Palace in Vittoriosa and the Domus Romana in Rabat will all be free to visit on that day.
The Gozo Museum of Archeology, the Gran Castello Historic House, the Gozo Nature Museum and the Old Prison - all of which are located in the Citadel - will be open free-of-charge.
World Tourism Day is celebrated on September 27. It is intended to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.
