The TVM evening news on August 24 carried an item about electricity failure and, standing tall near the engineer in charge, I could see Konrad Mizzi, the former energy and health minister. Or is he still? Some months ago, following the Panama Papers scandal, the Prime Minister kicked him out. Or did he actually do it?

Honestly, I felt upset and believe that others felt the same. If Mizzi is no longer responsible for energy, why was he there?

And, while on the subject, how is it that a demoted minister found himself in the fore for the so-called inauguration of the tanker that was supposed to sail immediately to Malta but took its time to leave Singapore?

The Prime Minister should say whether Mizzi is still responsible for energy. The people have a right to know. It is not right to take people for a ride.

I am thinking of dedicating the song Is it yes or is it no on one of the local radio stations. This will compliment John Bundy’s Mickey Mouse country.
