Dr MICHAEL FARRUGIA and Dr FRANCESCA CAMILLERI
The marriage took place on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the Carmelite church, Mdina, between MICHAEL, son of Prof. Emanuel Farrugia and Dr Roberta Borg Costanzi of Sliema, and FRANCESCA, daughter of Dr and Mrs Franco Camilleri of Balzan. Fr Kalċidon Vassallo officiated at the ceremony, which was witnessed by Ms Elena Borg Costanzi and Ms Sarah Vella. Mr Christopher Zarb carried out the duties of best man and the bride was attended by Ms Michaela Camilleri, Ms Kristina Farrugia and Ms Susannah Farrugia. Andrew Camilleri, SJ, acted as groomsman while Mr Matthew Vella and Mr Edward Borg Costanzi served as ushers. A reception was afterwards held at Villa Bologna, Attard.
Obituaries
BORG. On September 14, at his home in Ashford, Middlesex, ERIC FRANCIS, aged 85, widower of Elsie, nee Pearce, passed peacefully away. A beloved father, he will always be remembered by children Peter, Ann and Sandra, his grandchildren Felix and Natalia and their families, his sister Joan and her husband Raymond Galea, his niece Karen and her husband John, besides his many relatives and friends in Malta and Gozo. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
GOLLCHER. On September 16, ALEXANDER passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his devoted wife Josephine née Debono, his children Frank and his wife Ria, Ralph and his wife Colette, Alexander and his wife Claudia, Ingrid and her husband Tonio Desira Buttigieg, Frederick and his wife Daniela, Kevin and his wife Erika, Astrid and her husband Andrew Sapienza, his beloved grandchildren Astrid, Karl, Kurt, Tash, Natalie, Giuseppe, Alex, Michele, Nicholas, Fritz, Abigail, Matthew, Gianluca, Alistair, Carl, Alex and Edward, his great-grandchildren, his brother Olly and his wife Frieda, his in-laws Mark and his wife Linda, Albert and his wife Anne and Mary Genuardi, relatives, friends and his devoted carers Eddie and Mercie. The funeral leaves the family residence in Balzan on Monday, September 19, for the church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi or Malta Hospice will be greatly appreciated. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.
XUEREB. On September 16, JOHN passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, his children Rosalie, Angela, Martin and Patrick, his sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, his beloved nephews and nieces, his sister and his brothers, family and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said on Monday, September 19 at 7.45am at the Nativity of Our Lady parish church, Naxxar.
