Students will be marching on in Valletta on September 30, from 6pm onwards throughout Republic Street. They have been working hard over summer and will bring with them racing cars, DIY experiments, the latest gadgets and health checks to show to everyone coming into Valletta that you could be a scientist for a night.

S-Cubed brings with it ‘Explosive Laughter’ for its eye-catching demonstrations and colourful displays. Moreover, catch up with S-cubed in the STEAM Street event throughout Republic Street for spectacular chemical reactions and games.

ASCS will merge art and accountancy. One can gain hands-on experience in investment and also be part of interactive games, so come throw some darts. They have even prepared a tragic comedy inspired by an investment that goes wrong.

UESA will present Malta’s first space mission and a high performance imaging camera. While IEEE will show how to use the creative spark of the brain to solve problems, you can get a sneak peak at how computers solve problems and how smart they actually are.

The University of Malta Rowing Club is bringing its training machines to Valletta. Anyone can have a chat with the team members about the biomechanics of rowing.

The club will be bringing three race cars to the festival.

Ever played with Sphero or tried on the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset? Then the ICTSA stand is one you surely do not want to miss.

From playing with robots to being part of a psychological experiment, the STEAM Street activity sees BetaPsi conducting experiments on the audience to explain how the brain processes information with some fun facts on the side.

Student doctors and health practitioners from MMSA and MHSA will be offering free blood pressure and blood glucose tests.

MMSA also prepared ‘The Teddy Bear Hospital’ for young children. Adhering to this year’s theme local researchers will be giving a brief overview of their studies regarding mental health.  MHSA is organising foot and mobility screenings by a variety of health science professionals.

Using a 3D printer to print out the brain and using conductive dough to build basic circuits is only a taste of what DTEAM has planned to make for a memorable night.

IASSO in collaboration with MCAST’s IAS will introduce the grey-water recycling system. Their fun and audience-involving presentation will intrigue the whole family, and will surely not disappoint. MPSA presents ‘Apothecaries to Breakthrough Science’ which will focus on the use and abuse of psychotropic drugs and the understanding on Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

There will be diabetes tests and activities for young kids – truly an event for all ages.

The performance of USPA brings together artists from the University of Malta’s three performing arts departments: Theatre Studies, Music Studies and Dance Studies. (In) Visible  is an intimate performance that explores the auditory and visual elements along with their anonymity - a unique immersive experience.

Kids in Orbit and Y4TE are teaming up for ‘Under the Stars’. This exhibition will present interesting astronomical facts along with discussions on various spots on the Maltese Islands for star gazing and limited light pollution.

MADS (Faculty of Dental Surgery, RIDT) will be giving advice on how to take care of your oral health, in their mobile dental clinic. For all the children out there, make sure to spot the tooth fairies with balloons in hand - truly magical touch to the evening.
