• When we purchase clothes that are not fit for purpose or are not as described, we are legally entitled to a free remedy.

• Sellers may request proof of purchase before providing us with a remedy.

• The right to claim a legal remedy cannot be taken away from us by notices in shops stating that goods are not returnable or that cash refunds cannot be given.

• When we make a wrong buying decision, we are not entitled to a solution but must rely on the shop’s return policies.

• We should carefully check clothes for apparent defects before paying for them.
